Business plans, wiki sites, and parties

Ok, it has been a while since I have posted here, but that doesn’t mean nothing has been going on.First, we are working on an Aldea Brewery business plan. I am using the inspiration from Tom’s Coffee Ethic plan. It is 120 pages, so you can see how this can be a tedious path. I, with help, have put together a team of people to help me write it. We are surrounded by amazing people. This should take up the next month or so. Keep an eye out, this is a big and important step for us.Second, If you are interested, we have a space on Aldea’s website to do anything with. I would like to get a chart of all the beers we have made, what they taste like and what we would like to change, etc… Go check it out and please contribute something to the site so that we all leave a piece of our selves on their. check out the rest of the site as well, it looks great. Go here. Third and finally, we have been offered a party. My brother-in-law who will soon be the owner of the amazing art gallery, Mo’s Gallery, has offered an opening that he is having in February. It would mean we need a reliable recipe, a batch of 200 or more, labels, promotional material, etc… so we need to talk about this as soon as we can. I will keep you all postedAlso, the ikon crew is coming next week and I am hoping to brew with them at least once if not twice. So i need to know when next week and the following week we all can be together. I hope that you all are well and I have been enjoying our brew nights. peace, jared

Hey guys I know next week is thanksgiving, but friday night would work for me. Does anybody know how to make labels stick on beer bottles? Also, I think we need to invest in another carbuoy. I also remeber crazy Aaron telling me that we could get a carbouy that is also a keg. That might be a cool thing to have at the gallery party. I just need to convince my wife to buy me a kegerator for christmas. – NOAH

  2. i have been trying to talk Jaime into a Kegerator for years. i am up for brewing on Friday. Ikon will be here so it would be good to fit as many brewings in as possible. i think we should talk to crazy Aaron about this “keg-carbouy” he speaks of. That does sound like a good idea.

  3. Hey Unkie J,
Everybody loved the #6 last night. Comments ranged from “robust but mellow”, “pleasing color” (from your sister who of course didn’t actually taste it), to “highly drinkable”.

These comments came from non-beer snobs, for what that is worth. I tried to press everybody for some negative comments, and the only thing I could get was that Micah had what looked like orange pulp floating in his glass.

This is definitely a brew I would serve in the gallery (whose name and mission will be changing, by the way)
